The detailed production process description of solid wood cabinet doors
Among the components of the overall cabinet, the door panel is equivalent to the face of the cabinet, and different styles and textures can be formed by changing the style, line type, color, material, and processing methods of the cabinet door. The natural texture and texture of the solid wood cabinet door, and the changeable shape, have always been loved by consumers. Today, I will take American cabinet doors as an example to show you the production process of solid wood cabinet doors.
First of all, we have to understand the structure of solid wood cabinet doors. The production process of door panels of different structures is different. The solid wood door panels are generally framed in a four-in-one manner, that is, four frames plus a core board. Such a structure is firm and beautiful, but it is not so simple to produce. So what are the specific production process of solid wood cabinet doors?
1. Dry
The wood in general furniture factories is directly purchased from the market. After the wood is purchased, it must be dried first. After drying, the wood is not prone to deformation and cracking. Generally in the north, the moisture content of wood should be controlled at about 8-9%, and in the south it is about 10-12%.
2. Material preparation
1. Double-sided planing and thickness setting
For solid wood door panels, the thickness is generally 20-22mm, and the thickness of the board is generally about 28mm, which needs to be sliced on both sides, and the thickness of the board is controlled at about 24mm, leaving a margin of 2mm.
2. Trimming saw
Trimming, cut off the unusable burrs on the wool board.
3. Multi-blade saw fixed width
Different door types have different door frame widths. The normal door type is generally 70-120mm. Therefore, the width of the wood should be determined according to different orders. Generally, the width should be left with a margin of 4mm.
3. jigsaw
1. Glue
In order to reduce the deformation of the wood, the door core board is generally composed of multiple wooden boards. The glued board is usually more stable than the whole board, and in this process, it can also well remove the scars and control the color difference, making the cabinet The door is more beautiful.

2. Set thickness sanding
The thickness of different furniture components is different, and the thickness of the core board of different door types is also different. After the board is assembled, the thickness of the sanding machine is generally used for coarse sand.
4. finishing
1. Four-sided planing and shaping
Four-sided planing is used to process the board, which can be processed and shaped on all four sides of the board. After the four-sided planing process, the surface of the wood is smooth, flat, and the line is smooth and consistent. The width and thickness are all the net material size.
2. Saw cutting
Next, the length of the board should be fixed and cut. During the processing, there should be no chipping, blackening, internal cracking, the length and width error should not exceed 0.3mm, and the diagonal length difference of less than 1 meter should be ≤0.5mm, 1 Plates above meters should be ≤1mm.
3. Tenoning and drilling
The four-in-one solid wood door panels are all spliced with a tenon and tenon structure, and it is necessary to open the door frame and mill the cross frame of the door panel.
4. Milling type
General manufacturers usually use a single vertical axis milling machine for milling. The milling of door frames and door cores can be completed on this. When processing door frames with curvature, molds are needed to help shape the shape.
5. Sanding
Sanding the inner groove of the door frame to prevent chipping and burrs during milling, which will affect the glue and paint of the later core board assembly.
6. Door core board processing
First, use a door core milling machine to process the door core plate. There are two milling cutters in the front and 2 sets of grinding wheels at the back. The door core plate is milled out of the edge, and then the milling part is sanded, and then along the side track Automatically wrap around and re-mill another face. The door core board after milling needs to be sanded and chamfered.
5. Assembling
1. Assembly

2. Adjustment after assembly
After assembly, the door panel needs to be grit sanded again by a fixed thickness sanding machine. Then through heavy-duty double-end milling, heavy-duty double-end milling is used for the square milling and size control of the solid wood door panel to ensure that the dimensional accuracy of the door panel is controlled within plus or minus 0.2mm.
The milled solid wood door panels are then passed through a sanding machine to sand the four sides of the door panels to achieve the conditions for polishing paint. After inspection, the door panel will be trimmed to make the bevel lines consistent, and then polished with 240# sandpaper. Then make the hinge hole.
At this point, place the door panel in the dehumidification room for health preservation, and control the moisture content of the wood within the corresponding standard according to the area and the annual average moisture content of the air.
6. finishing
The so-called "three-point carpentry, seven-point paint", the quality of the paint is very important to the quality of the product. When repairing the color, it is necessary to make the furniture show the main color while keeping the wood grain clear. The paint is not based on the thickness of the paint film, but the clear wood grain and thin film is the best.
Sanding is required before spraying.
The solid wood door panels are passed through a special-shaped sanding machine and a key sanding machine to improve the sanding quality. After that, the white billet grinding is continued, and the corners where the edges and corners are not in place are polished by hand.
Brush
After the wiping agent is prepared by a professional technician, you must first try to wipe it to confirm whether the wiping agent is correct and appropriate (adjust appropriately based on the color palette). Before wiping the color, stir the wiping agent evenly until there is no sediment. The brush used must be cleaned first, and the cloth strips to be wiped must be non-fading cloth strips. Brush the product evenly with a brush, and there should be no white leakage, and then quickly wipe the toner with a cloth strip. Check whether the product has any residual toner that has not been wiped clean, whether there is sagging, uneven coloring, etc.
Primer and sanding
Generally, medium and high-end solid wood cabinet doors need at least three primer spraying and three polishing procedures. Before spraying, blow the board dust clean, check whether the color wiping effect is good, and there should be no whitening and inadequate spraying during spraying. Polishing must first fill up all scratches, and polish off the burrs produced on the product after spraying. The background color cannot be sanded through. The sandpaper for sanding needs to be polished smoothly and evenly because of the coarse to fine sandpaper.
